EPFiGMS – Employee Provident Fund Grievance Management System

EPFiGMS is the grievance portal of EPF with an aim to redress the grievance of EPFO services. Recently, I had checked my EPF passbook and found that the interest for FY 2021-22 is still not credited into my passbook. The cut off date for interest calculation is 31st March 2022, and today we are sitting on 17th August 2022. More than 4 months have already passed but till date the interest amount is not showing/credited to my passbook.

While checking through the Member’s Portal for contact details of the EPFO office, I landed up on the another portal called EPFiGMS which is a stand alone portal for redressing any grievance on the services provided by EPFO. I went through the portal and got myself registered with my mobile number and e-mail ID.

The portal will automatically fetch the UAN number linked to your mobile no. and will show you on the screen. Select the current/active UAN number and update your address and other profile details.

How to submit the grievance on EPFiGMS portal?

  • Once you have updated your profile details, it will redirect you to the next screen where you will have to choose your status from EPF member, EPS Pensioner, Employer or Others.
  • Select EPF member
  • It will ask you a claim ID (if you have raise any withdrawal claim). Select “NO” if you don’t have made any claim which is open.
  • Enter the UAN number.
  • Enter the security code as shown in the picture.
  • Click on the “Get details” button.
  • Select your current PF number.
  • On the next screen, pls. select the appropriate code for grievance from the drop down list.
  • Enter the details of your grievance in the text box.
  • Enter the security code as shown in the picture.
  • Click on the Get OTP button.
  • Enter the OTP you have received on your registered mobile number.
  • Check all the details of your grievance and then click on the submit button.
  • This will take few minutes and after that the grievance registration number will be displayed on your screen.
  • Pls. write down this registration number for future reference.

Once the grievance is submitted the respective EPFO officer will check your grievance and will update the status accordingly. This usually takes 3-4 working days. So wait until you get any update on the grievance registered by you. There is an option for sending reminder on your grievance, in case you do not heard anything from the EPFO office within few days.

You need to enter your grievance registration number that was generated while submitting the grievance. Enter your mobile number or e-mail address so that the officer will get in touch with you.

You will also get the e-mail address of the concerned EPFO office for contact in case you need to contact them regarding your grievance.

This is very helpful portal for any help you need related to your EPF account. The service is fast and you should get the response from the officer within few days. I have used this service by myself and the response was quick and satisfactory.
